Retain factory features
With select iDatalink-compatible radios, you'll be able to retain the use of these factory features:
touchscreen control of climate control and vehicle settings
steering wheel controls
use of the factory amplifier, including turn-on, fader, gain, and speed-compensated volume
rear-view and other cameras, depending upon aftermarket radio inputs
secondary vehicle display (when equipped)
rear-seat video and control (when equipped)
The harness also supplies the outputs (parking brake, reverse, and VSS [Vehicle Speed Sense]) necessary for installation of a NAV receiver, plus illumination and accessory power outputs.
